You can search America's historic newspaper pages from 1789-1963 or use the U.S. Newspaper Directory to find information about American newspapers published between 1690-present using keywords. Note that you may need to use keywords such as "Negro"; or "Negro inventor" or alternative keywords o retrieve materials on African Americans. Search the name of a business person to locate their portrait, or search the name of the company to locate articles.
