These Internet links don’t constitute a full and complete list of all groups, publishers, associations involved in the liquor industry. This list is not specific to one particular beverage but includes sites that are for specific beverages as well as those for beer, wine, and distilled spirits.

You may also want to consider searching sources like the Internet Archive and HathiTrust for additional materials. For example, HathiTrust has Cozzens' Wine Press (v. 1-6) for the years 1854-60 that had been digitized by the University of California and the Wine & Spirit Bulletin for the years 1901-1906, 1908 and 1914-17.

Associations

American Association of Wine Economists (AAWE) External
The association is dedicated to communicating and encouraging economic research and analyses and exchanging ideas in wine economics.
Beer Institute External
The Institute represents the multi-billion dollar beer industry though more than 2,800 breweries. Their Resource Center includes Beer Serves America, a biannual economic impact study commissioned by the Beer Institute and National Beer Wholesalers Association. Also included are State Data at a Glance, Congressional District Data, Economic Ripple Effect, Beer Excise Tax Payments, etc. There is also a nice history of beer and the beer industry and a link to the State Beer Excise Tax Rates from the Federation of Tax Administrators.
Brewers Association External
The association represents brewers and breweries. Also has an interest and had developed CraftBeer.com External Link for craft beer enthusiasts that provides information on beer styles and breweries and online courses on beer for those interested in gaining more knowledge.
Distilled Spirits Council External
This is the national trade association representing the leading producers and marketers of distilled spirits in the United States. It includes monthly Alcohol Import and Export Reports (Beer & Wine and Distilled Spirits), sales volume, Supplier Price Index, discussion on taxes, regulation, news, and a lot of discussion on the history of the industry. For many years they published a title on consumption statistics in the United States titled Apparent Consumption of Distilled Spirits and year coverage in the Library catalog includes: 1934-1968, 1968-1973, 1968-1976, 1968-1977, 1970-1980, 1975-1979.
International Organisation for Vine and Wine
This is an intergovernmental organization made up of Member States that advises on developing regulations, minimizing barriers to trade, and promoting sustainable production.
Master Brewers Association of Americas External
This is the professional, scientific organization for brewing malt beverages and related industries.
National Alcohol Beverage Control Association External
This association represents the Control State Systems - those jurisdictions that directly control the distribution and sale of beverage alcohol.
National Beer Wholesalers Association External
The association was founded in 1938 and represents the interests of over 3,000 licensed, independent beer distributors. The Industry & Tech section includes information on the economic impact of beer distributors, beer franchise laws, beer industry fact sheet, KPMG tax study, etc.
ProBrewer External
This is a resource serving all trades of the beer business. Includes a Supplier Directory, News, etc.
American Cider Association External
Their website has resources on how to become a certified cider professional as well as having a blog, a find a cidery tool, and other Resources like a cider style guide, sales aides, etc..
Their annual event is CiderCon.
Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) External
WSWA represents 370-member family-owned wine and spirits wholesalers.
Wine America / National Association of American Wineries External
WineAmerica was founded in 1978 as the Association of American Vintners, a trade association of wineries with membership based in the eastern U.S. By 1991 it merged with the National Vintners Association and formed American Vintners Association and in 2003 was renamed WineAmerica. Wine Institute External
Wine Institute is the voice for California wine representing more than 1,000 wineries and affiliated businesses. There is data/information specific to the California wine industry.

Alcohol Beverage Authorities in United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico
In the United States, each state has the authority to regulate the production, sale, and distribution of alcohol within its borders. This means state and local jurisdictions may have their own requirements in addition to federal requirements. State laws and regulations vary widely from state to state, and may be more restrictive than federal regulations.
You must meet all state and local requirements in any state where you plan to do business (unless Federal law preempts the state law).

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism
The NIAAA is the agency that keeps many alcohol related statistics including consumption. The April 2021 Surveillance Report #117 Apparent Per Capita Alcohol Consumption: National, State, and regional Trends, 1977-2019 and it includes Table 1. Apparent per capita ethanol consumption, United States, 1850–2021.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Data sets and reports on various food and agricultural projects including alcoholic beverages beer, wine, and distilled spirits in terms of trade, nutrition, and consumption. There are also brief reports about other countries produced by the Foreign Agricultural Service.
Global Agricultural Trade System provides "current and historical data on international trade in agricultural, fish, forest and textile products."
ERS Food Expenditure Series "contributes to the analysis of U.S. food production and consumption by constructing a comprehensive measure of the total value of all food expenditures by final purchasers."
World Health Organization - Global Information System on Alcohol and Health (GISAH) External
This is an essential tool for assessing and monitoring the health situation and trends related to alcohol consumption, alcohol-related harm, and policy responses in countries. They produce annually the title “Global Status Report on Alcohol and Health” External as well as other reports. They also have a database External with related data. Specific elements fall within these groups: Levels of Consumption (includes some projections); Patterns of Consumption (abstainers, heavy drinkers, etc.); Harms and Consequences; Economic Aspects (revenue, costs); Alcohol Control Policies; Prevention, Research, Treatment; Youth and alcohol. Some data that WHO uses comes from the UN's Food and Agricultural Organization database.

Silicon Valley Bank State of the Wine Industry Report External
The annual report has been published for a numbers of years by the SVB’s Wine Division founded in 1994. SVB is a major lender to US wine producers They have some information and publications from 2017 on their website though the report was published before 2009. The report contains many statistics and usually a listing of M&A transactions for the year.
