The Bob Hope Gallery of American Entertainment is a permanent exhibition space in the Library's Jefferson Building that opened in May 2000. The inaugural exhibit, "Bob Hope and American Variety" explored the life, career, and legacy of the gallery's namesake. In 2010, a new exhibit called "Hope for America: Performers, Politics, and Pop Culture" opened in the gallery. This ongoing exhibit explores the connections between politics and entertainment through items from Bob Hope's materials at the Library.
