BREXIT: Sources of Information

News

Given the fast pace of change, news sources are going to be key in understanding what is happening with regard to BREXIT. It will also be a good idea to search on specific laws, treaties, etc including the Northern Ireland Protocols and the Windsor Framework for updates on the legal relationship between the UK and the EU.

When looking at trade issues the discussion will also move beyond UK trade with the EU generally, to UK trade with individual countries. There will also be particular issues related to import control, freedom of movement, etc. that will also be worked out over time and discussed individually in reports and news sources.

Databases with full-text articles are good sources for newspaper articles as well as for articles in more specific trade journals that may have a particular focus and cover themes that may not be in more general interest news sources. Check your local public or university library for these or other sources that may be available to you locally.

We have linked to a few reports/papers and news sources including the Telegraph, where Christopher Booker has written a number of pieces on aspects of the UK/EU relationship, as a way for those doing research on this topic to keep abreast of current events and who may not have easy access to subscription news databases.
