The sites in this section are good for those just starting their research or who just need to understand the basics and the broader picture. There will be terms, concepts, and other language used that might be helpful to note. For example, there is the border-free Schengen Area that is refers to the area of free movement for EU citizens, and reference to the European single market (also known as the European internal market or the European common market) which is the single market comprising mainly member states (separate from the EU). Discussion in the UK related to remaining a member of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) continue, but they have since rejoined Horizon Europe which they left as a result of BREXIT.
There are also issues to be worked out post break. When looking at trade issues the discussion will also move beyond UK trade with the EU generally, to UK trade with individual countries (the UK will be treated as third countries are). There will also be particular issues related to import control, freedom of movement, etc. that will also be worked out over time and discussed individually in reports and news sources.
The sites included here tend to provide a more detailed discussion of the background, future prospects, and implications. There are other groups like the Resolution Foundation External that report on specific aspect of BREXIT but may not look broadly that aren't included so search for the specific topics as the relate to BREXIT for additional analysis.
