These materials consist of transcripts, photostats, and microfilm of records of the Audit Office spanning the years 1764-1835. Audit Office 1 consists of rolls of declared accounts from the Auditors of the Imprest and the Commissioners of Audit. Audit Office 12 and 13 consist of records of the British Board of Commissioners appointed after the American Revolution to inquire into the losses and services of American loyalists. The records include entry books and ledgers containing evidence of witnesses and their testimonials, the examinations and decisions of the Commission, and allowances. Audit Office 16 includes miscellany such as an East Florida general record book, 1764-1776, and an entry book of Council proceedings, with instructions, commissions, and other documents.
