The Center for Research Libraries (CRL), based in Chicago, is an international consortium of university, college, and independent research libraries. Founded in 1949, CRL supports advanced research and teaching in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences by preserving and making available to scholars the primary source material critical to those disciplines. Documents, newspapers, books, and journals are among the items in their collections, mostly acquired from outside the United States. Many of their resources are from the five emerging regions of the world: Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Latin America.

AM Explorer is a cross-search interface that can be used to search across all Adam Matthew primary source products for the social sciences and humanities.

With more than one and a half billion records in over 10,000 data sets, Ancestry Library Edition includes records from the United States Census military records court, land and probate records vital and church records directories passenger lists, primary-source document images (including the US Federal census) and a variety of genealogical research features. Also included are thousands of data sets from European archives, with over one thousand sets from the United Kingdom.

The goal of British Online Archives (BOA) is to provide students and researchers in the humanities and social sciences with access to unique collections of primary source documents. To this end, BOA hosts over 4 million records drawn from both private and public archives. These records are organized thematically, covering 1,000 years of world history, from politics and warfare to slavery and medicine. Colonial America makes available all 1,450 volumes of the CO 5 series of Colonial Office files held at The National Archives in London, plus all extracted documents associated with them. This unique collection of largely manuscript material from the archives of the British government is an invaluable one for students and researchers of all aspects of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century American history and the early-modern Atlantic world. Covering the period 1606 to 1822, CO 5 constitutes the original correspondence of the the colonial governments with the Board of Trade, the Secretary of State for the Southern Department and the Secretary of State for the Colonies, together holding responsibility for the British possessions in mainland North America and the Caribbean, making it a uniquely rich resource for all historians of the period. Covering the history of the various territories under British colonial governance from 1624 to 1870, this extensive resource includes administrative documentation, trade and shipping records, minutes of council meetings, and details of plantation life, colonial settlement, imperial rivalries across the region, and the growing concern of absentee landlords.

Gale Primary Sources combines Gale's acclaimed digital archives in a single cross-search interface. This platform broadens discovery of primary source documents through the use of multiple search options and research tools, providing access to millions of pages of content spanning many centuries and geographic regions.

Slavery and Anti-Slavery includes collections on the transatlantic slave trade, the global movement for the abolition of slavery, the legal, personal, and economic aspects of the slavery system, and the dynamics of emancipation in the U.S. as well as in Latin America, the Caribbean, and other regions. Includes part I: Debates over Slavery and Abolition, part II: Slave Trade in the Atlantic World, part III: The Institution of Slavery, and part IV: The Age of Emancipation.
