This book is a bibliography of Bulgarian statistical publications, including works about statistics as well. The items are grouped by subject. Unfortunately, there are only citations, not annotations, which would give a better idea of what the works might contain. When statistical serials are included, each volume is listed with its page count and the period of coverage for the issue. The arrangement of the materials can be confusing, because the first half of the book is republished information from the 1961 volume, Bibliografiia na bulgarskata statisticheska literatura, 1878–1960, including the indexes to those listings located in the middle of the book. Later publications covering 1960-1980 appear in the second half of the book, with separate indexes at the back, so for one topic, the user needs to look in both sections of the bibliography. The bibliography does not include foreign language statistical publications produced in Bulgaria, statistical publications produced by political parties with political themes, or certain governmental publications such as annual state budgets, but it does include citations for articles on various statistical topics.

Covering only 1985-1990, this bibliography includes mostly census publications. The arrangement is by type of material: statistics, analytical materials, official reports, and reports given at conferences. Each entry contains bibliographic data and an annotation in three languages: Bulgarian, Russian, and English. There are no indexes, but the bibliography is small enough that it is simple to peruse.

This is a list of publications produced by the State Publishing House in Bulgaria. It is basically an advertisement that has been saved and bound. One of the volumes was published as an appendix to Durzhaven vestnik, the official legal gazette. The publications are listed by sponsoring ministry, and are without descriptions. Many of the publications are for government documents, but there are statistical materials listed under some of them, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Statistical Office.

Although this is a general bibliography of foreign government serials in U.S. libraries, it has information about Bulgarian statistical serials that is not available in the above-mentioned publications. It can be used to provide one part of the whole picture of Bulgarian statistical publications. Some of the information regarding publication dates is inaccurate.
