The Library of Congress Catalog currently offers two browse options: Call Number and Classification. Subject Browse will be available on August 12th, 2025. Browse is accessible via the dropdown menu in the catalog header.

Call Number Browse allows users to browse related materials upon searching a full or partial call number. The call number browse result is based on the shelving order element in an item record. Items in a series will be grouped in a call number browse. Users can navigate forward and backward through the result set, and the detailed record view is accessible from the search result list.

Classification Browse allows users to browse the catalog by Library Congress classification.
