The Caucasus: Cartographic Resources in the Library of Congress

Atlases

The Geography and Map Division holds fewer atlases than maps of the Caucasus. While map coverage in this research guide stops in the mid 1970s, the period after which most maps acquired by the division can be searched via the LC online catalog, virtually all of the Library's atlases have been listed and described on the catalog. Nevertheless, several atlases, owing to their detailed content, warrant identification and further description for researchers seeking specific information on the physical and cultural geography of the Caucasus, especially during the Soviet era.
