Civil Rights in America: A Resource Guide

Databases

Subscription databases can be online counterparts to print products, or resources exclusive to the online environment. If a resource is available both in print and online, it is usually preferable to search the online version, which will offer enhanced search options, quicker retrieval, and the possibility of accessing documents' full text. The subscription databases below all can be used to locate resources pertaining to the history of civil rights in America.

The subscription resources marked with a padlock (available on-site) are available to researchers on-site at the Library of Congress. If you are unable to visit the Library, you may be able to access these resources through your local public or academic library.
