These resources may be helpful for discovering additional pictures relating to the Cold War or exploring the context of such pictures.

While Cold War-related publications may be found in many parts of the Library of Congress, the following units have strong holdings, some of which are highlighted in resource lists and research guides.

The institutions listed below include multiple collections that contain pictorial material relating to U.S. involvement in the Cold War and attitudes towards that involvement. National libraries and archives of other countries and archives of nationality groups involved in Cold War events and initiatives may also be fruitful.
