Picks of the Week for the month of June reviews two of our great concerts of the 2020-2021 season. Tambuco Percussion Ensemble took us on a musical trip through Ebero America with the music of composers from Colombia, Mexico, Spain, and Uruguay. I had such a great time chatting with Tambuco musicians and learning about the behind the scene stories of these pieces performed as well as the origins of the rare percussion instruments played in their virtual program. Later in the month, we featured virtuoso accordion player, Ksinja Sidorova with a fantastic recital that includes three brilliant tangos from her new Piazolla recording.
