Join us for a conversation with Ksenija Sidorova about her breathtaking concert, the cultural significance of music in her native Latvia, and her role as a global ambassador for the classical accordion. Works by J.S. Bach and Mozart open a brilliant recital highlighting Alfred Schnittke's Revis Fairy Tale, in excerpts from his Gogol Suite, transcribed by Yuri Shishkin. Three tangos by Astor Piazzolla mark the composer's 2021 centenary, paired with a new work acknowledging his legacy: a fantasia by Franck Angelis on Piazzolla's "Chiliquín de Bachín."
