As the summer comes to an end and we put the beach chairs away, we dedicate this Pick of the Week to all students and educators going back to school for in-person or distance learning. This edition features two music education workshops: a jazz session with bandleader Maria Schneider and a demonstration and conversation with Tank and the Bangas. Jazz composer and bandleader Maria Schneider leads a workshop for the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra and the Levine Music Premier Jazz Combo in conjunction with the world premiere of her work Data Lords commissioned by the Library of Congress.
Tank and the Bangas present an interactive workshop in which they share with the audience their journey as a band, their inspirations, and lessons learned along the way.
