This Pick of the Week features the 2017 performance of Dover String Quartet.
For more than 80 years, the Library of Congress has celebrated the extraordinary craftsmanship of Antonio Stradivari with an annual concert highlighting our “Strads,” the gift of Gertrude Clarke Whittall. These glorious instruments have been used in Library concerts by a long roster of memorable players, documented in our extensive concert recording archives. In the video above, see the Dover String Quartet performing Alexander Zemlinsky’s epic String Quartet no. 2, op. 15 at the Library’s annual Stradivari anniversary concert in 2017.
