The Library of Congress archives selected Croatian websites as one means of preserving online content for future research. Emphasis is placed on government-produced information. Below is a descriptions of a relevant Library collection with links to access the archived sites. All sites have been released after a one-year waiting period on current content. For the latest content from each site, please visit the live sites. Selected additional captured websites from Croatia may be available only onsite.
Also included below are links to HAW, the Croatian web archiving portal, and the Internet Archive which attempts to crawl the entire Internet, including many sites from Croatia.
The Library of Congress has been archiving Croatian government websites since 2021. To see the individual Croatian sites in the collection click on the Collection Items tab and then select Croatia as a location from the left menu. Examples of sites include the Ministries of Defense, Health, Foreign Affairs, and Finance. Other governmental structures in the collection are the Croatian National Bank and the Hrvatski Sabor (Parliament).
HAW is the main source for archived websites from Croatia. Part of the National and University Library digital collections, it is useful to have the archived websites available via their own interface. One feature is the presence of topical collections such as Human Rights, Biology, Botany, and Zoology, or Civilization and Culture, with subcategories such as Libraries and Librarianship or Museums and Museum Studies.
