The collection contains 32 images of Cyprus, from a collection that primarily focuses on other areas in the Middle East.

In the foreground, John Bull is standing atop a pillar of stones labeled "Scotland, Ireland, Malta, Gibraltar, India, Australia, Cyprus, Egypt, [and] Soudan [sic]" on a bit of land labeled "England"; the stones are propped up by various types of weapons, with the top two stones supported by a steamship, though the top stone "Soudan" appears about to fall off.

This collection includes photos taken for possible use in LOOK Magazine, published from the late 1930s to 1971. There are two sets of photos in Cyprus in LOOK; one resulted in an article in the magazine and the other did not.

First panel: Man, "Commissioner of Life," arrives at wharf on island of Cyprus, looks for ancient artifacts and finds only a "Toy Store." Second panel: Man continues search and finds abandoned lot with sign "Property for Sale." Third panel: Man returns to New York City and finds fradulent ancient artifacts in the basement of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
