Cyprus: Address and Telephone Directories

List of Directories

This list of Cypriot telephone directories is organized as follows. First listed are 40 country-wide directories in chronological order. Then a few directories for two cities and their surrounding regions are listed, using the generally-accepted English form of names. Thus, Limassol [Lemesos] and Nicosia [Leukosia] are given in alphabetical order and sub-arranged in chronological order. The exact title of each non-English directory is provided in transliteration, along with the type of phone book (individuals, organizations, or both), and notes with data on the publisher and additional information gathered from the books and their contents, including the language(s) of each the directory - Greek, English, or Turkish.

Please note: The U.S. government does not recognize the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, established in 1974. This list does not contain directories from North Cyprus, although some of the country-wide directories issued in the Republic of Cyprus after 1974 do include listings, almost exclusively of Greek names, of cities and towns in North Cyprus such as Famagusta (Ammochostos; Gazi Magusa) and Cyrenia (Kerynia; Girne).

Uncatalogued Phone Directories
