The Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division (P&P) holds a wealth of materials for dance researchers. P&P has made many of these materials available online, including artwork, posters, photographs, and negatives.

The division maintains its own online catalog, the Prints and Photographs Online Catalog (PPOC), which allows users to perform keyword searches. Dance researchers will find that terms for subjects such as "dance" return thousands of results for both Western and ethnic dance research, as well as names of specific dancers.
