Entomophagy: A Resource Guide

Databases

Current studies, reports and other writing on entomophagy will often be found in journals, newspapers and other serial publications. Databases and other indexes/catalogs are usually used to identify articles on the subject.  The resources below are recommended for researching the topic of insects as food. Both journals and databases may be freely available (open access), or they may be available only through paid or subscription-based means.

The subscription resources marked with a padlock are available to researchers on-site at the Library of Congress. If you are unable to visit the Library, you may be able to access these resources through your local public or academic library.
