Neo-Latin Texts from Europe: A Resource Guide

Sometimes called new Latin, Neo-Latin refers to Latin texts written between 1400 and 1900 on all disciplines. This guide provides lists of materials held by the Library of Congress as well as external resources on these texts from Europe.

Introduction

This guide is a counterpart to the Neo-Latin Guide for texts written outside of Europe. Since most of the Neo-Latin works are written in Europe, it is fitting that there be a guide dedicated to those texts as well. The materials in this guide comprise reference books such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, and individual works from the fifteenth to nineteenth centuries. While most of these items are held in the Library's general collections, some are only available in the Rare Books and Special Collections Reading Room.
