Federal Circuit Court of Appeals

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit is based at the Howard T. Markey National Courts Building in Washington, D.C. This court is unique among the Circuit Courts. It has nationwide jurisdiction in various subject areas (e.g., international trade, government contracts, patents, trademarks, certain claims against the U.S. government, federal personnel, veterans’ benefits, and public safety officers’ benefits claims). The jurisdiction of this court includes all United States District Courts as well as special courts, and the appellate review of certain federal administrative agency decisions.
