Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals

The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit is based in the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. United States Courthouse in Richmond, Virginia. This court provides appellate review of cases tried in the United States District Courts within the geographic area of its jurisdiction, which includes Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
