The U.S. Copyright Office is located in the Library of Congress, and historically, copyright registrations have provided a rich source of acquisitions for the Music Division's collections. Many film scores submitted for copyright registration have been cataloged for the Music Division's on-site stacks. Many other scores have been organized by copyright registration number and are housed off-site.
Find and request scores stored offsite by using the item’s copyright registration number. Contact us through Ask a Librarian to request materials.
