Digital Collections

Leopold Stokowski’s adaptation for A Night on Bare [Bald] Mountain for Disney’s Fantasia. Music by Modest Mussorgsky. 1940. Leopold Stokowski Collection. Library of Congress Music Division.

Several online Exhibitions feature the Music Division's collections. In addition, many of the Library's unique materials have been digitized and are available online through the Library's Digital Collections website. Digital collections consist of selected materials with accompanying essays that contextualize and discuss their contents.

Several digital collections include materials relevant to film music, such as scores, photographs, correspondence, and audiovisual clips.

Online versions of current and past physical exhibits may be found on the Digital Exhibits website. Digitized materials only represent a portion of what is available for on-site use in the Library. Materials relevant to film music may also be found across multiple divisions' digital collections.

In the Muse, the Music Division's blog, includes regular posts that highlight film music materials in the collection. These blog posts are tagged specifically with the heading "film." The Music Division's yearly Concert Series likewise includes film screenings and related events.
