For researchers hoping to copy and publish images from the Fine Print Collection, information about how to assess rights to images in the collection and how to obtain both reference and quality copies is provided below.
Fine prints cannot be placed on photocopy machines but on-site researchers can make reference photographs of prints with a hand-held camera (no lights or tripod). See Further Information below for details.
Researchers can purchase quality scans of prints through Library of Congress Duplication Services (see Further Information). In placing an order, researchers should cite the call number of the print, preferably with a reference copy to ensure accurate fulfillment of the request.
Researchers can download existing digital files.
