This collection includes 3,042 pieces of sheet music published in America between 1850 and 1920. It presents a wide variety of types of vocal music: bel canto, minstrel songs, protest songs, sentimental songs, patriotic and political songs, plantation songs, Civil War songs, spirituals, dance music, songs from vaudeville and musicals, Tin Pan Alley and World War I.

Central Florida Memory External
The site is a unique digital collection of material contributed by partner institutions to create a virtual place where visitors can discover what Central Florida was like before theme parks and the space program. Diaries and letters describe the region and how people survived day-by-day in this extreme and rugged environment. Maps, photographs, and postcards illustrate how the region looked in the early years and how it changed over time.
The Florida Historical Society External
The society fulfills its mission to publish materials on Florida history through its publication of The Florida Historical Quarterly and through its fledgling Florida Historical Society Press which publishes monographs, novels, and other works on Florida's history
The Florida Memory Project External
The project presents a selection of historical records that illustrate significant moments in Florida's history, educational resources for students of all ages and archival collections for historical research. Selected original records, photographs, and other materials from the collections of the State Library and Archives of Florida are used.

National Park Service (NPS): Florida
