The Library of Congress Music Division holds a wealth of music manuscripts central to Western classical flute solo and chamber music repertoire. Manuscripts include scores in the hands of composers and copyists. The Music Division acquires such items through gifts, purchases, and commissioning funds. Music manuscripts can be individually cataloged or part of larger special collections.
