This resource provides an index to historical documents, personal papers, and family histories held in archives around the world. This database contains nearly 1 million records (largely summary descriptions) of archival and manuscript collections; plus more than 50,000 finding aids (detailed lists describing the content of collections) from over from 190 contributors. You can search it to find the libraries and archives where collections of a person's, or organization's, papers are held.

This resource consists of over 2 million names and has a research repository with over 225 research documents that is growing daily. It is a compilation of family trees submitted by Black Sea German researchers. It also includes data from original records, like church records or obituaries, that have been extracted from those records by a volunteer. Each tree is identified by a title and includes the name and email address of the person who submitted the tree.

This resource is a categorized and cross-referenced index to genealogical resources on the Internet. As a genealogical research portal, Cyndi's List is meant to be a starting point when conducting genealogical research online. Although the List itself is free for everyone to use, the resources that it points users are not necessarily free. Some are fee- and/or subscription-based. On average 1,500 new links are added, 600 links are updated/corrected, and 300 non-working links are deleted each month. There are more than 180 categories on the list, as well as individual pages for each US state, US county, Canadian province, and UK county.
