Bound volumes are held in remote storage and must be requested beforehand. The fastest way to request them is to call the Reference Desk at (202) 707-5690. Outside working hours you can send a request using their Ask a Librarian, or leave them a voicemail at (202) 707- 5691.

We provide online links to newspapers that have been digitized and are freely available in these databases:

We also provide links to holdings of the Arcanum Digitheca External link database that the Library of Congress subscribes to, and which provides access to full text search in several thousand newspaper titles. Your library might also have a subscription to this database, but if you do not have access, reference librarians can help you find information in it and send it to you.
