Italian American Periodicals at the Library of Congress

Databases & External Websites

In this section of the guide, we reference a selection of digital resources useful to researchers who want to explore the history and current studies of Italian American periodicals. The resources are divided into two main categories: databases available in the Library of Congress E-Resources Online Catalog; and, other digital resources searchable online at various websites, including web pages and digital collections available on the Library of Congress website.

The Library of Congress E-Resources Online Catalog is helpful to researchers who are interested in discovering and accessing electronic research tools such as databases providing full-text journals, e-books, web sites, and search tools. The catalog includes both licensed resources and freely available resources on the Web which have been recommended by the Library of Congress reference staff.

Subscription resources marked with a padlock are available to researchers on-site at the Library of Congress. If you are unable to visit the Library, you may be able to access these resources through your local public or academic library.
