Jazz Stock Arrangements: A Resource Guide

Published Parts By Count Basie

This is a list of "stock arrangements"—published sets of parts for jazz orchestra—identified on their covers as being from the repertory of the Count Basie band. Most of them are published by Bregman, Vocco, and Conn. We have not, however, omitted stocks by other publishers. These are stocks contemporary with the band's recordings, not later sets of parts designed for reconstruction of Basie performances: they may not in all cases be "as played by the Basie orchestra" and contain few transcriptions of improvised solos.
