Subscription Databases for Newspapers from Kosovo

American Red Cross, Paris Office. Packing up for home. A Serbian mountaineer having obtained his ration of American flour and Red Cross medicine for his family, ties it aboard the family mule and hits the trail for home. This picture was taken at Prizren where the Red Cross has a relief station. 1919. Library of Congress Prints & Photographs Division.

The Library of Congress has no online newspapers from Kosovo. News sources such as Internet portals, news magazines, and newswires are available through several databases, but almost all of the sources are in English. Digitization of newspapers from Kosovo by libraries in Kosovo is just beginning, with no titles available as of Fall 2019.

The most useful way to obtain the latest news and information in the vernacular from and about Kosovo is to visit the websites of current newspapers from Kosovo. For information in English try using websites of major newspapers outside of the country such as the New York Times, the Times of London, or the Washington Post. The Library of Congress has these three newspapers, and many other English-language newspapers, in its subscription database collection.

Subscription resources marked with a padlock are available to researchers on-site at the Library of Congress. If you are unable to visit the Library, you may be able to access these resources through your local public or academic library.
