This section includes selected resources for researching industries and companies in Latin American countries. The featured Library of Congress resources include research guides on coffee, sugar and oil industries, company and industry research, and a blog post and a guide to Panama Canal's history. Some of the selected books address industrial policies, international trade and strategic partnerships, while others focus on specific industries like hospitality and tourism, oil and mining, and food and agriculture. The internet resources provide company and industry news, analysis and reports. There are some directories for company research but the subscription databases available from the Library or other subscribing institutions are very useful for researching companies and industries. Please see also the Country and Regional Resources section of this guide for company and industry information by country or region.
