Notes:

Composers who have four or more primary sources in the Music Division's collections have their own sub-pages under their country name. See the side navigation bar for lists of additional composers' primary sources.

It is also important to note that the Lauro Ayestarán Collection is a main resource about Uruguayan composers. However, many composers in the collection have unknown countries of origin and unknown birth/death dates. A large number of composers in the collection are also from European and other South American countries. Due to the size of the Lauro Ayestarán Collection and detail of the finding aid, only composers with verifiable Uruguayan nationality are included in this inventory.
