About Gregory Nava

Gregory Nava is a Mexican-American film director, writer, and producer from San Diego, California. His filmmaking career has highlighted the narratives and perspectives of the Latino community. Mr. Nava’s directorial works include the 1983 film "El Norte" and 1997 film "Selena," which were both inducted into the Library of Congress National Film Registry. These films were deemed historically, culturally and aesthetically important to our American film history.
