In Hawaii, the court system consists of three levels. There are several courts at the trial level, including: Environmental Court; Family Courts; Tax Appeal Court; District Courts; Land Court; and Circuit Courts. The Circuit Court is the court of general jurisdiction. The Intermediate Court of Appeals acts as the intermediate appellate court. The Hawaii Supreme Court is the highest court in the state.
