In New Hampshire, the judiciary has three general levels. The New Hampshire Probate Court, New Hampshire Family Division, and New Hampshire District Court are the lowest level courts, which focus on cases involving specific subject matter, such as probate matters, small claims, misdemeanor offenses, and family matters. The New Hampshire Superior Court is the trial court of general jurisdiction. The New Hampshire Supreme Court is the highest court in the state.
