The “Rich Text Editor” in LibGuides has the following language options:

• American English
• Brazilian Portuguese
• British English
• Canadian English
• Canadian French
• Danish
• Dutch
• Finnish
• French
• German
• Greek
• Italian
• Norwegian
• Portuguese
• Spanish
• Swedish

To edit text in one of the languages in LibGuides, follow these steps.

• Select “Add Box”
• Select “Rich Text/HTML”
• Click on the Spell Checker tool (“ABC” icon)
• Click on “Languages”
• Select the appropriate language

Follow these steps to add text in a language not included in the Rich Text Editor in LibGuides:

When creating new text for a guide, type your text in Word or another word processing software program that will allow you to type and edit in a language other than English and copy (Ctrl+C) the text (make sure you have enabled your language in Windows or another Operating System and you are using the appropriate keyboard).

OR

If converting an old Web guide into LibGuides, simply copy the text (Ctrl+C). 

From LibGuides:

• Select “Add Box”
• Select “Rich Text/HTML”
• Click on the “Paste as Plain Text” icon
• Using your keyboard, paste (Ctrl/Cmd+V)  the text inside the box, and click on “OK”
