Introduction
The Library of Congress maintains a large collection of foreign and domestic directories. Most of the foreign telephone directories held by the Library of Congress do not have catalog records, so we put together this list of directories from Moldova as a finding aid for our staff and researchers. This finding aid covers directories from Moldova between the years 1923-2013. In addition to the uncataloged telephone directories listed in this guide, the Library also has directories that can be found in the Library of Congress Online Catalog using subject keywords such as "Moldova" and "directories." In this guide we list most of the cataloged directories for businesses, non-governmental organizations, political and business elite, and more, with links to their catalog records in the section entitled Other Directories. These directories can be requested in the online catalog using a Reader Identification Card for use in any reading room located in the Jefferson or Adams buildings of the Library.
This residential telephone book of the Republic of Moldova can be used to find telephone numbers by name or reverse number lookup. The data that is organized by towns can also be downloaded.
The telephone portal site Infobel provides a database of business entries for each European country, including Moldova. There are no listings for private individuals at this site.
