Originally published in 1984 on the FDIC's fiftieth anniversary, this publication includes information on the antecedents to federal deposit insurance, the creation of the FDIC in 1933-35, and a general history of the FDIC with a focus on the Corporation's insurance coverage and financial operations, its role in handling bank failures, and its function as a bank supervisor and examiner.

Most material is on-site access only but digital material is being added including material related to the Great Depression and the New Deal External but there is a the Periodic Table of the New Deal. The NLRB was established in 1935 to administer the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), the primary law that governs relations between unions, employees and employers in the private sector. The history area contains information on past leadership, an archive of its decisions, and information on the history organized around pieces of legislation/laws.

This is part of the "Living New Deal" site and it provides background information on the New Deal. The goal of this site is research, presentation and education and the building of a national database of information, documents, photographs, and personal stories about the public works made possible by the New Deal.

Material that has been digitized by the Federal Reserve and is part of the FRASER project. It includes Report on Progress of the WPA Program from 1936-1942 with a final report that covers the years 1935-1943.

The material at this link were books, surveys, studies, etc. that were done by agencies in cooperation with the Works Project Administration and include many business related titles. They are a good illustration of the type of work that was being done. it includes some issues publications related to the Consumer Purchases Study (USDA) which looked at Family income and expenditures often by region but also for specific topics like transportation, medical care, etc. The set was organized into regions.
