Platt's Oilgram Price Report by Mc Graw-Hill

Begun in the mid 1950's and known variously as Platt's Oilgram News Service and Platt's Oilgram News, this daily report, according to the publisher, covers market changes, market fundamentals and factors driving crude and oil product prices, both domestically and internationally. Public Utilities Fortnightly by Public Utilities Reports

The articles focus on regulatory policies and issues related to the energy industry. Central to the publication's mission, according to their website all 51 Public Utility Commission offices (the governing bodies that regulate the rates and service of public utilities in the U.S.) are members of Public Utilities Fortnightly.

Subscription Databases

Use databases to browse for collections of periodicals or to search for articles on a specific topic. The European Commission Energy site contains studies, reports, a newsletter, a weekly oil bulletin and statistics on Energy trends up to 2050, EU Crude Oil Imports and supply cost, as well as market analysis and information on energy markets in EU countries. The site includes topics on Energy strategy, Energy efficiency, Nuclear energy, International cooperation, Markets and consumers, Renewable energy, Infrastructure , Enforcement of laws and more.
Factiva External
Factiva has a large collection of trade journals, including S&P Global Platts publications. Platts has been producing energy related information including oil and natural gas going back to when Warren C. Platt published National Petroleum News in 1909. International Monetary Fund publications External

National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) External
Search of the NBER site for NBER Working papers relating to petroleum.
National Energy Technical Laboratory (NETL) - Oil and Gas Research
Owned and operated by the Department of Energy, NETL conducts foundational research to improve the production, processing, transportation, and storage of U.S. oil and natural gas.
Petroleum Environmental Research Forum External
PERF is a nonprofit research and development joint venture of petroleum companies. This database covers research projects performed by member companies. It includes information relating to the development of technology for health, environment and safety, waste reduction and system security in the petroleum industry. Offers a search by named petroleum company members who sponsor environmental R&D projects and their costs. The PERF newsletter describes ongoing activities of this organization.
Reports and Testimony by Topic -- Energy (Government Accountability Office (GAO))
GAO, as the investigative arm of Congress, evaluates federal programs, audits federal expenditures, and issues reports on its findings. From the GAO website, users may search by topic or agency for reports from 1995 to the present.
