Maps display location-based data visually. They are produced by government agencies, oil and gas trade publications, and industry watchdog groups. Some online maps are interactive.

Library of Congress Catalog Searches

Additional works on maps in the Library of Congress may be identified by searching the Library of Congress Online Catalog under appropriate Library of Congress subject headings. Choose the topics you wish to search from the following list of Library of Congress subject headings to link directly to the Catalog and automatically execute a search for the subject selected. Maps in the collection are arranged by location. The subject headings listed below are examples that use the United States as location, but other countries or regions could be substituted in the following formats:
