Digital images created in 2008 provide ready reference viewing copies of all of the Pembroke Album contents via the online catalog. A catalog record accompanies each image. The descriptive information in the catalog records is based on the checklist compiled by Alan Fern and Karen Beall in the 1970s, with revisions based on more recent research. Research on the prints continues, and the records are updated as new information becomes available.

If you are able to visit the Prints & Photographs Reading Room in person, you may request to view individual items from the Pembroke Album by submitting a call slip in the reading room. We generally request that researchers first look at the highest resolution file (tiff file), to gain as much visual information as possible, before requesting to view an original, as retrieving and refiling fragile prints and drawings puts added wear and tear on them. Please contact us in advance if you want to see more than 15 items on a single day.
The FIne Print Filing Series Card Catalog enables you to place the Pembroke Album prints in the context of the Prints & Photographs Division's fine prints collection overall. The catalog is arranged by the century in which the artist flourished, and thereunder by artist name. The online records for the Pembroke Album prints, however, are more complete and contain the most updated information about each specific item.
