Ada Limón was host of The Slowdown podcast External. Each brief weekday episode features poems by American writers selected and read by Limón, with the goal of helping listeners slow down, observe and think more deeply, and better understand each other and our world. The Slowdown was created as a project of then-U.S. Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith. Limón took over as host at the start of the series' third season, on September 21, 2021 and hosted 250 episodes before departing to become the 24th Poet Laureate of the United States.
