The collection holds 13,000 titles with publications dating from 1502 to the present. The emphasis of the collection is Catholic literature dealing with the Carmelite Order of the Ancient Observance (O.Carm.) and the Order of the Discalced Carmelites (O.C.D.); Carmelites and Catholic spirituality and mysticism. Important figures and writers represented in these works include Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, and Thérèse of Lisieux, and Edith Stein.
