Open to the public: Yes

Interlibrary loan: Yes. The archive will process interlibrary loan copy requests by electronic delivery only and up to 40 pages of copy per request. The archive reserves the right to refuse an interlibrary loan request if, in its judgment, fulfillment would violate the copyright law or exceeds the 40-page limit.

Shenandoah University is the repository for all historical records of ministers and churches of the Virginia Conference of the United Brethren and Evangelical United Brethren churches prior to 1968, the date of the merger with the Methodist Church. The materials are housed in the Gruver-Souders UB/EUB Archives which are located in Smith Library, on Shenandoah's Winchester, Virginia campus.

Books and monographs
There are 220 titles in the Evangelical United Brethren (EUB) collection within the 508 title special collections. Inclusive dates are 1834-1985. The subject areas covered are Methodist Church History, Evangelical United Brethren Church history, and the history of the Shenandoah University. There are also approximately 250 mostly uncataloged 18th to 20th century Mennonite, Methodist, and Brethren hymnals.

Periodicals and newspapers
42 titles in the EUB collection with inclusive dates from 1889-1985. The collection includes EUB and Methodist serials. Of special interest besides the EUB and Methodist history serials are Virginia Conference Proceedings.

Vertical files
Three and one half vertical file drawers, primarily of Evangelical United Brethren materials, as well as 17 archival boxes of EUB/VA Conference minutes. These materials are 19th and 20th century.
