Renaissance Era: A Resource Guide

Search the Online Catalog

The Library of Congress holds many reference works, monographs, periodicals, rare books and other texts on the Renaissance. To locate additional items in the Library's physical collection search our Library of Congress Online Catalog using subject headings which can be broad or specific. For example, if you were to browse the subject heading "Renaissance", you would find over 1000 items in the online catalog with that subject heading. Explore that broad heading, as well as more focused headings, using the links below:

These subject headings break down further by city and genre of work, for example:

More subject headings can be explored by going to the Library of Congress Online Catalog "Browse". To search by subject heading, click on the "hamburger menu" at the top right corner of your screen (resembles three horizontal bars). A drop-down menu will appear. Select "SUBJECTS beginning with." In the search bar to the immediate right of the drop down menu, you can begin your search for subject headings.

If you need assistance locating books and other resources related to the renaissance, contact the Library through its Ask a Librarian service.
