The Library of Congress has been archiving Russian government websites since 2014, but most captures of sites in this collection began in 2018. To see the individual Russian sites in the collection click on the Collection Items tab and then select Russia as a location from the left menu. Examples of sites include the Ministries of Defense, Health, Foreign Affairs, and Finance. Also in the collection are government sites from the 89 federal subjects and two cities with federal status. Besides ministries, other governmental structures in the collection are the President's Office and the Duma (Parliament).

The Russian Independent Media Web Archive is a collection featuring Russian-language online news publications which don't receive any direct funding from the Russian government. Due to their financial independence, these publications report on controversial topics which are typically not discussed by other Russian media outlets, such as corruption, police brutality, poverty, LGBTQ+ rights and other social issues. The collection spans May 2020 and forward.

The Russian Political Parties Web Archive is a collection featuring the official websites of political parties in the Russian Federation. Political parties first appeared in Russia following the 1905 Revolution and the subsequent establishment of the State Duma. The end of the Russian monarchy in 1917 and the seizure of power by the Bolsheviks later that year eventually led to the establishment of one-party rule in Russia by what would become known as the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The policy of perestroika in the 1980s finally allowed oppositional parties to form in Soviet Russia. When the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991, Russia transitioned into a federal semi-presidential republic, with a multi-party system and assemblies both on the federal and regional levels.
